Go, little leucocytes, go

Well... after two different flavors of antibiotic, my white cell count today is the same as it was Sunday--so I've been switched to yet another antibiotic. This one has more constraints and possible interactions and such--no caffeine at all for me for ten days, and yes, that includes chocolate.

I did actually have an appetite this morning, which is reassuring. From Sunday to last night, I hardly wanted to look at food.

More cowbell!

"I've got a fever, and the only prescription is... more cowbell!"

Actually, I've been running a fever through all this brouhaha, and the scary part was talking to a nurse this afternoon about what to do, especially the "if it doesn't improve in three hours, go to the hospital."

Thank goodness my core temperature has been headed downward following the nurse's advice. Another degree and I'll be singing along with Keith.

"Thanks, I needed that."

I think it was some kind of film cliche, maybe a war movie cliche. A guy is cracking under the strain and starts to babble, and another guy slaps him. First Guy comes back to his senses and says to Second Guy, "Thanks...I needed that."

Mennen Skin Bracer played off it in one of its commercials, I think.
