Let's see, now...

So... the Hildebeast went to Europe, where she did the following:
  • botched the names and titles of some European officials
  • went on about how she never understood multi-party democracy: "It is hard enough with two parties to come to any resolution, and I say this very respectfully, because I feel the same way about our own democracy, which has been around a lot longer than European democracy." I dare say this was a surprise to the Greek and Icelandic governments, among others.
  • Took a gag gift to Russia that must have been inspired by someone watching too many Staples commercials: a large push button supposedly demonstrating The One's administration's willingness to "press the reset button" on the relationship between the US and Russia. Alas, instead of "perezagruzka" (reset) the button read "peregruzka" (overcharged)--and a photo shows that the word was in the Latin alphabet rather than Cyrillic.
Now... tell me again about being ready on Day One? (And contemplate how relentlessly these blunders would be shouted from the rooftops had, say, Sarah Palin uttered them.)

Then there are the monumentally thoughtless gifts the First Family gave to the English Prime Minister's family. Maybe he should have asked his TelePrompTer what to give them.

(For those too young to remember the Sam Cooke tune, the first line: "Don't know much about history...")
