First Annual Renaissance Festival Performer Awards

Marc Gunn of the Brobdingnagian Bards, who does the Renaissance Festival Podcast, is conducting a poll to select recipients of the "First Annual Renaissance Festival Performer Awards."

There are two categories: music group, and non-musical group. The web page is at best confusing and at worst misleading, since in one place it says "Nominate your favorite Irish & Celtic music groups:" but in another just says "Nominate up to three Renaissance Festival music groups who performed at faires in 2005:" I personally ignored the former; I've yet to hear any Irish/Celtic music group at a Renaissance fair actually do music from the Renaissance. (Owain Phyfe sings "Adieu, O Daisy of Delight" and "Depart, Depart"—apologies to Scots for Anglicizing the titles—which are in fact Scottish and actually from the Renaissance, but I've yet to hear him sing them live.)

If you're so inclined, head over to the podcast's web site and vote as you wish.
